Ramadan Schedule
Please download Masjid App using QR code for precise prayer times. First week of Ramadan community Iftar will be hosted on Friday (Feb 20) and Saturday (Feb 21). For the remaining weeks of Ramadan, community Iftar will be hosted on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Ramadan Reminders
Due to increased traffic, we strongly encourage you to carpool as there is limited parking.
There is no talking or socialization inside the prayer hall so that all guests can hear the khutbah and prayers. This is a time for spiritual reflection so it is important to maintain a quiet environment.
There is no food or beverages (except water in a sealed container) in the prayer area.
Parents must monitor and be with their children at all times.

Welcome to the Islamic Society of Downey! We are your local mosque in Downey, CA. God willing, our goal is to be a diverse community center offering religious and community programs. We work toward this goal by being being a place of worship and a community center where people of all backgrounds and faiths can come together as neighbors and friends to learn from each other and promote acceptance, love, peace, respect, and admiration for all people, faiths, and backgrounds. By offering an inclusive community center, building bridges in our local community, and implementing these these core values, we are confident that we can contribute to the diverse makeup of our community in a positive and inspiring way.
